The Annual Specialist Plant Fair at Blacksmiths Cottage Nursery brings together gardeners and nurseries from across the region. Free short talks on Autumn Bulbs 11am and Late Flowering Perennials 3pm. Folk Band playing in the garden from 11am-2pm followed by a free guided tour of the redeveloped Barn Garden at 2pm. The Barn Garden has be completely re planted, showing the wide selection of plants grown by Blacksmiths Cottage Nursery and is home to some unique collections including significant collections of Sanguisorba, Persicaria and daisy flowered perennials. The barn garden is also home to a group of Alpacas and some endangered exotic pheasants. Charity Gardeners Question Time with the team from BBC Radio Norfolk at 3.30pm. Specialist Plant stalls offering trees, shrubs, grasses, bulbs, perennials, carnivorous and alpines. Nurseries including Plantsmans Preference, Hoecroft, Monksilver, Creake Plant Centre and Apple Revival. Other stalls from local food producers offering a selection of preserves, pies and a Hog Roast. The Waveney Gallery will feature a Summer Flowers Exhibition, exhibiting photographs and paintings of flowers and gardens from the Waveney Valley. Visitors will also be able to pay an extra £2.50 and visit the Shorelands Wildlife Gardens , a collection of native and exotic bird and mammal species that are managed as part of international breeding programmes and are exhibited in an attractive garden setting to the south of the Barn Garden.
