Even given Surrey's recent harsh winters, Wisley provides a range of microclimates which allow 'half hardy' plants to survive. The garden is experimenting with different methods of keeping plants alive over the increasingly chilly winter months. Join Matthew Pottage, Garden Manager at Wisley, for a tour of the garden's most delicate specimens and those which have proved surprisingly tough. This session will involve considerable walking outside, so please come prepared with suitable footwear and clothing.
