In this workshop you will learn how to develop a herbaceous border from scratch. The course will include illustrated talks, a tour of the Garden and a short practical session. Sarah will cover basic design principles, soil preparation, planting selections and planting methods with the maintenance regimes that will help you establish a stunning healthy border. Sarah, an experienced member of RHS Harlow Carr's ornamental gardening team, will give a guided tour of the herbaceous borders in the Garden giving you the opportunity to find out how they were planned and developed, and how we maximize interest all year round. Please come appropriately dressed for walking around the Garden.
