Botany for gardeners

25/07/2012

10:00 - 16:00

Workshop

General

Have you ever wondered what plants look like under the microscope? What exactly do leaves, stems and roots do? In this practical workshop we will look at leaves, stems and roots under the light microscope and find out more about their function and structure through an illustrated talk. This is suitable for those with no experience of botany or microscope use, and will cover the basics up to GCSE level theory. There will also be a taste of some of the mysteries that plant scientists are currently investigating
