Fl. rounded, 108mm wide, facing upwards; perianth and other petaloid segments in several whorls, more or less regularly arranged one upon the other, smooth, yellow; the outer whorls very broadly ovate, with slight mucro, spreading, plane, with margins incurved to incurling, overlapping half or more; the inner segments a little narrower; the inner whorls becoming successively shorter and more strongly inflexed towards centre, those clustered at the centre irregularly folded or crumpled and very short; corona segments very short, interspersed among inner perianth segments, with margins minutely crenate.
