Description |
Fl. 70 mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in three whorls, very broadly ovate, blunt or rounded at apex, yellow, more or less concave, overlapping half or more; the outer whorl with prominent white mucro, a little inflexed; the second whorl only a little shorter, more strongly inflexed; the centre whorl shorter still, strongly inflexed, irregularly arranged, with margins deeply incurled; corona segments half the length of the centre petaloid segments and clustered among them, broad, red, frilled. Mid-season. 2n=28. Resembles a more durable `Tonga' |
