Fl. 110 mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in three whorls, broadly ovate, bright yellow, overlapping half or more; the outer whorl spreading, plane; the inner whorl of about the same length, inflexed, sometimes folded along midrib; the centre whorl shorter, strongly inflexed, with margins tightly incurled; corona segments shorter than the centre petaloid segments and thickly clustered around and among them, more loosely arranged between the surrounding whorls, bright orange, frilled.
