Fl. star-shaped, 115 mm wide; perianth segments ovate, blunt, spreading, plane, with margins minutely incurling, smooth and of heavy substance, with midrib showing, overlapping half; the inner segments a little inflexed; corona cup-shaped, smooth, with mouth flared and frilled, rim notched in places.
