Fl. rounded, 118 mm wide; perianth segments 48 mm long, roundish, very broad, yellow, spreading, plane, with margins slightly incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping; the inner segments a little narrower; corona 18 mm long, cup-shaped, ribbed, deep orange-red, mouth straight, frilled, with rim dentate.
