Fl. forming a double triangle, 85mm wide; perianth segments 30mm long, very broadly ovate, blunt, clear lemon yellow, with small white mucro, spreading, a little concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, a little inflexed; corona 20mm long, split to more than half its length, the six segments each closely overlying a perianth segments, forming an outer and an inner whorl of three and almost as broad as the inner segments, bi-lobed, with lobes split and overlapping, regularly ribbed, a slightly deeper tone than the perianth segments, a little wavy. Mid-season. Strongly scented
