Description |
Fl. 105 mm wide, facing up; perianth and other petaloid segments in two whorls; the outer whorl 40 mm long, very broadly ovate, blunt, truncate, light greenish yellow 3C, with pale greenish yellow 2D at base, with prominent pale mucro, reflexed, concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, shouldered at base; the inner whorl strongly inflexed, folded inwards from midrib, with margins wavy; corona in several whorls, opening pink, becoming light yellow-orange 22B, with brilliant orange 25C; the outer whorl entire, 45 mm long, cup-shaped, smooth, mouth expanded, wavy, irregularly lobed, the lobes overlapping, with rim narrowly flanged and entire; the inner whorls tightly clustered at centre, folded and a little frilled. Mid-season. Sweetly scented |
