Fl. forming a double triangle, 97mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in 3 or more whorls, mid-yellow; the outer whorls 42mm long, ovate, blunt, slightly mucronate, spreading, plane, with margins wavy, smooth and of heavy substance, irregular, overlapping half or more; the inner whorls significantly shorter, strongly inflexed, concave; corona segments in several whorls, deep yellow; the outer whorl 35mm long, completely enclosing the inner whorls of petaloid and corona segments, broad, inflexed, with margins wavy; the inner whorls short, clustered at centre, deeply inflexed.
