Description |
Fl. star-shaped, 50-75mm wide; perianth segments 17-22mm long, lanceolate in outline, acute at apex, mucronate, whitish, with yellow at base, a little inflexed, plane or with margins incurved, with midrib showing, of heavy substance, overlapping at base only; the inner segments a little narrower; corona 14-17mm long, cup-shaped, yellow, with orange at rim or sometimes entirely yellow, mouth a little expanded, ribbed and wavy, with rim notched. Dwarf. Early A group characterised by the yellow �halo� effect at the base of the perianth segments which extends a quarter to half their length |
