Arbutus are evergreen trees and shrubs with small, bell-shaped creamy-white or pink flowers, and red, strawberry-like fruits in autumn

A. menziesii is a medium-sized evergreen tree with smooth cinnamon-brown bark and glossy dark green leaves, whitish beneath. Terminal panicles of white, urn-shaped flowers are followed by small orange fruits
