Verbena can be annuals, perennials or sub-shrubs, with toothed or pinnately lobed leaves and small salver-shaped flowers in spikes, panicles or corymbs in summer or autumn

Verbena (G) are species which are separated in the genus Glandularia by some botanists

Sandy Series are compact annuals to 25cm, with rough, oblong leaves and flat panicles of small flowers in white and shades of pink, red and magenta, some with white eyes
