Chlorophytum are evergreen, rhizomatous perennials with linear or lance-shaped leaves and slender arching stems bearing loose racemes or panicles of small, starry white flowers, in some species also bearing plantlets

'Variegatum' is a rhizomatous perennial forming a clump of narrow, evergreen leaves to 45cm in length, with white marginal stripes. Small white flowers are borne in arching racemes, usually with plantlets in the inflorescence
