Hebe are evergreen shrubs or small trees, with paired, simple leaves and racemes or spikes of small, 4-lobed, tubular to salver-shaped flowers in summer and autumn

H. topiaria is a very compact evergreen shrub of dense, neat growth, with small grey-green leaves and white flowers in dense short racemes in early and mid summer
