This session will cover the effective planning of seed propagation, the selection of growing mediums, collection and storage of seeds, sowing, aftercare and environmental considerations. Vegetative propagation will also be covered including planning the timing and source of propagation material, collecting material, preparing material efficiently and effectively, selecting growing mediums and selecting suitable growing environments. (RHS level 3)

This set of courses is designed to provide experience of practical skills associated with the RHS level 2 and level 3 qualifications giving concise and up-to-date information. However, you do not need to be studying for an RHS qualification in order to attend, they are also ideal for keen gardeners who wish to develop their horticultural knowledge and practical skills on the subjects covered. The courses will cover important horticultural practices through hands on activities and associated theory. Guidance will be provided to support those candidates who are learning and practising new horticultural skills. The courses involve various practical activities so please come prepared with suitable clothing, footwear and gardening gloves. Includes a light lunch and refreshments.
