Doddington is a ravishing Elizabethan house around which successive generations have made a successful Tudor-style garden. The owners keep it simple and formal at the front, but in the walled garden (thickly and richly planted) are Edwardian knots and parterres, a modern herb garden and pleached hornbeams. Wonderfully harmonious and strongly recommended in early summer. |
