Activities to do in the future: Spring

 
Sowing seeds

• Sharing expertise in sowing and planting
• Painting large-scale items e.g. fencing
• Collecting soft-drinks bottles and cutting them up to make mini cloches, slug rings, funnels, scoops etc
• Organising a plant swap or sale - this can involve the whole community
• Planning a visit to a nearby school garden for inspiration
• Celebrating with an Easter feast.

 

Summer

 
Homemade signs for the garden

• Sharing expertise in preparing and cooking fruit and vegetables
• Making labels and signs for the garden
• Watering, weeding and harvesting during the summer holidays
• Summer pruning fruit trees and bushes
• Digging a pond
• Celebrating with a summer picnic.

 

Autumn

• Building new resources such as raised beds, compost heaps and pergolas
