Appetite for Action

Global Action Plan and Sky, working together to create the climate for change. The Appetite for Action challenge is an online resource, arming teachers with a variety of tools and
materials to teach about sustainable food. The challenge empowers students to make small changes within their schools that make a big difference to the environment. Sustainable food issues are explored through practical, hands-on activities, increasing students’ understanding of the environment through
the project challenge topics Greener Grub, Reduce Rubbish and Get Growing.

The Competition
Open to all primary schools across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The winning school for each country will receive £3,000 and the chance to showcase their school’s achievements in the Appetite for Action fi nal. The winning school will receive a visit from Sky News, where pupils, teachers and parents can turn their hand to becoming Environment Correspondents.
