Top Gardening Awards for Norfolk School!

Costessey High School received recognition for their hard work in creating a new growing garden by winning the Norwich in Bloom School Gardening Award!

Year 11 pupils designed and built the garden under the supervision of Senior Science technician Pauline Williamson.
The garden is used by the science department, food technology department, life skill students and as a link with the primary school cluster.
Costessey High School is one of 10 RHS Partner schools - a School /RHS partnership, formed in September 2008 to support schools in gardening projects in the eastern region. Twilight training sessions have been held at the school each term with teachers coming from local schools to learn about school gardening.
Costessey High School Have made good progress with the RHS Benchmarking scheme – a scheme of good practice to help schools develop their school gardens. They have reached Level 3 at the end of the summer term and received the Alan Titchmarsh award of £500.
