Sep 07 - Campaign launched in Streatham school garden

St Leonard’s C of E Primary School, Streatham played host to the launch of the RHS Campaign for School Gardening on 19th September 2007. The school has been working with the RHS for many years and was described by Ruth Taylor, Head of Education for the RHS, as ‘a shining example of the benefits that gardening in school can bring’.

The campaign is encouraging all primary schools throughout the UK to use gardening to teach the National Curriculum. It aims to have 4000 schools registered, and benefiting from RHS support, by the end of 2008.
