Tatton Park - Quirky Container Competition

Back in July, Cheshire Schools were invited to challenge their pupils to think beyond the flowerpot and come up with creatively planted quirky containers with the best idea from each school being displayed at Tatton Park (23 July to 27 July)

The project was aimed at encouraging children to think about the environment and the way plants grow as well as raise the issue of recycling in light of the ‘throw away’ generation that is said to be emerging.

It was a huge success and the winner is
Park Royal School with ‘Keys to Health and Happiness’. They won £150 worth of garden centre vouchers and a glass trophy.
