WRAP launches free resources to bring recycling into the classroom and the school

WRAP’s (Waste & Resources Action Programme) Recycle Now Schools’ campaign has launched new resources to help primary and secondary schools teach their pupils about the benefits of recycling. The new primary school resources, which have been tested by teachers, include:

  • “15 minutes to save the Earth” assembly pack. These video-led assembly materials, featuring animated space heroes Busta and Pong, deliver practical recycling messages with plenty of pupil and teacher interaction.
  • Lesson plans for Music, Science and Design & Technology designed by teachers, for teachers following a national competition – a great way to follow up the key themes of the assembly back in the classroom.
  • Fun online activities for pupils, including games, quizzes and songs.
