Fl. 110 mm wide; perianth and petaloid segments in several whorls; the outer whorl very broadly ovate, blunt, spreading, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner whorl neatly overlying the outer whorl; the inner segments inflexed and clustered towards the centre, crumpled or folded; corona segments shorter than and interspersed among the inner perianth segments, frilled or crumpled.
