Description |
Fls c. 5 per stem, 50mm wide, facing downwards; perianth and other petaloid segments in several whorls, vivid yellow 12A; the outer whorls 20mm long, variable in outline from oblong to obovate, blunt or sometimes folded towards apex (appearing tapered or �hooked�), mucronate, spreading, twisted or a little incurved, with midrib showing, sometimes with creases either side of midrib, of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments successively shorter and more strongly inflexed towards centre, crumpled or strongly folded from midrib; corona segments in several whorls, a quarter the length of and interspersed among the inner perianth segments, outer segments yellowish orange (22A), inner segments strong orange (24B), strongly wavy or crumpled |
