Fl. rounded, 78mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in several whorls, golden yellow, with pale mucro, the outer whorls roundish, very broad, blunt or somewhat truncate, spreading, plane to a little concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner whorls successively shorter and more deeply inflexed towards centre, concave or folded inwards from midrib; corona segments interspersed among inner perianth segments, half the length of the outer perianth segments, strong reddish orange, frilled, becoming more crumpled towards centre.
