Fl. 100mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in several whorls, orange, flushed yellow; the two outer whorls broadly ovate to roundish, blunt, with slight, pale mucro, spreading, plane, with margins narrowly incurling, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner whorls successively shorter, more strongly inflexed towards and clustered at centre, concave or folded inwards along midrib, paler at apex; corona segments half the length of the outer petaloid segments, interspersed among the inner perianth whorls, orange-red.
