Fl. rounded, 78mm wide; perianth segments 22mm long, in several whorls; outer whorls roundish, very broad, mucronate, spreading, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner whorls inflexed, with margins incurved; corona segments folded inwards along midrib, smooth, frilled, with rim entire.
