Fl. rounded, 100mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in three whorls, vivid yellow 9A; the outer two whorls 50mm long, very broadly ovate, rounded at apex, spreading, concave, with margins slightly incurling, smooth and of membranaceous substance, overlapping half; the inner whorl narrower, shorter and slightly inflexed towards centre; corona segments 30mm long, vivid yellow 12A, interspersed among the inner perianth segments and clustered at centre, wavy to frilled, with margins crenate.
