Description |
Fls 9 per stem, rounded, 35-38mm wide; perianth segments roundish, very broad, blunt, scarcely mucronate, white, spreading or somewhat reflexed, plane or with margins incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, ovate, more nearly spreading; corona bowl-shaped, smooth, lemon yellow, touched green at base, mouth expanded, lightly ribbed, a little wavy, shallowly and irregularly lobed, with rim crenate. Autumn. Blooms late autumn to very early winter; robust plant; offsets on large bulbs will produce a second stem, good for lengthening flowering period.
