Description |
Fl. rounded, 80mm wide; perianth segments 40mm long, greenish white, roundish, very broad, truncate, mucronate, plane or with margins a little incurved, smooth and of heavy substance; the outer segments somewhat reflexed; the inner segments more nearly spreading; corona segments 20-25mm long, split to base into six segments, each closely overlying a perianth segment and almost as wide, forming an outer and an inner whorl of three, shallowly bi-lobed, yellow-orange, with brilliant yellow at base and yellow-orange at rim, fading to light yellow, with rim becoming paler to close to greenish white, ribbed and lightly frilled.
