Description |
Fl. rounded, 60mm wide; perianth and other petaloid segments in many whorls, brilliant greenish yellow 6A; the outer whorls 30mm long, ovate, blunt, spreading, shallowly concave, smooth and of membranaceous substance, overlapping one-third; the inner whorls narrower, becoming successively shorter and more strongly inflexed towards the centre, with margins wavy; corona segments 20mm long, vivid yellow 14B, interspersed among the perianth segments and clustered at centre, concave or irregularly folded along midrib. Dwarf. Mid-season Flowers of the �mop-head� type (description above) predominate. However, sometimes the corona does not split resulting in �filled-cup� flowers; the outer perianth segments ovate, acute, prominently mucronate, brilliant greenish yellow 6A, reflexed, plane, overlapping at base only; the inner segments contained within the corona; corona funnel-shaped, smooth, vivid yellow 14B, mouth straight and even, with rim entire. Distinct from �T�te Boucl� in its later flowering, fewer and larger flowers each with more segments, flower bud onion-shaped and leaves longer. |
