Fl. roundish, 98mm wide; perianth segments 36mm long, roundish, very broad, truncate, deep yellow, with pale mucro, slightly reflexed, shallowly concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower, ovate, blunt, shouldered at base; corona 20mm long, split almost to base, forming an inner and an outer whorl of three segments, each closely overlying a perianth segment, bright orange-red, wavy to lightly frilled, lobed, with lobes overlapping, with rim minutely crenate.
