Fl. 127 mm wide, ivory white, facing slightly downwards; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, only slightly mucronate, spreading, overlapping one-third; the inner segments more narrowly ovate, inflexed at base, reflexed towards apex, with margins wavy and sometimes nicked; corona narrowly funnel-shaped, broadly and smoothly ribbed, with mouth expanded and lightly frilled, rim rolled and shallowly crenate. Early. Resembles a `White Knight' of more than twice the size and of purer white. 2n=28,29 |
