Description |
Fl. rich deep yellow; perianth segments ovate, acute, not noticeably mucronate, inflexed, with margins wavy or twisted, overlapping at base only; the inner segments sometimes more strongly inflexed towards apex, with margins recurved; corona cylindrical, mouth very widely expanded, heavily ribbed, 6-lobed, with rim deeply notched and crenate. Early. 2n=14. Resembles a large-flowered `Maximus' |
