Description |
Fl. 102 mm wide, at right angles to the stem or facing slightly downwards; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, deep yellow, with prominent white mucro, spreading, overlapping a quarter; the inner segments more narrowly ovate, a little inflexed, touched white at midrib, with margins wavy or incurving, creased at shoulder; corona short broad funnel-shaped, ribbed, deep yellow, with orange at rim, frilled, rim closely and minutely dentate. Early. 2n=21. Resembles Barrii `Conspicuus' but with broader and more deeply coloured perianth segments; also resembles `Brilliancy' |
