Fls 10-12 per stem, 33 mm wide; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, prominently mucronate, somewhat reflexed, a little concave, smooth or with midrib showing, of heavy substance, overlapping one-third; the inner segments sometimes more nearly spreading; corona bowl-shaped, angled, mouth straight, ribbed, even, with rim entire. Early. With a faint sharp scent
