Fl. rounded, 85 mm wide; perianth segments very broad, blunt or truncate, yellow, with distinct orange undertones and with white mucro, reflexed, somewhat concave, smooth and of heavy substance, with pale midrib showing, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, more nearly ovate, less strongly reflexed, with midrib broader and less pale; corona disc-shaped, tightly ribbed, orange-red, with mouth sometimes split and overlapping, rim crenate.
