Fl. rounded, 100 mm wide; perianth segments very broad, somewhat truncate, spreading, plane, with margins minutely incurling at apex, overlapping half; the inner segments slightly inflexed, with margins more strongly incurled; corona more or less disc-shaped, very broad, ribbed, brilliant reddish pink, with patches of white at margins, mouth deeply 6-lobed, with the lobes somewhat bi-lobed, loosely frilled.
