Description |
Fl. rounded, 87 mm wide, facing up; perianth segments very broad, mucronate, mid-yellow, with a slight flush of orange-red in some seasons, spreading, plane, with margins a little incurved, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping; the inner segments narrower; corona cup-shaped, ribbed, strong red, frilled, with rim rolled and dentate. Mid-season. Sweetly scented. Resembles 'Creagh Dubh' but with the perianth segments more nearly spreading and plane and of purer colour |
