Fl. forming a double triangle, 110 mm wide, bright deep yellow; perianth segments very broad, blunt, only slightly mucronate, spreading, plane or somewhat concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping; the inner segments a little narrower; corona funnel-shaped, angled, with mouth expanded and lightly frilled, rim obscurely crenate.
