Fls average 2 per stem, star-shaped, 38 mm wide, vivid yellow 14B to 14A; perianth segments broadly ovate, blunt, with prominent whitish mucro, spreading, sometimes recurved in upper half, with margins folded somewhat inwards, overlapping a quarter; the inner segments less prominently mucronate; corona cylindrical, short, with mouth even and rim lightly crenate.
