Fl. forming a double triangle, 70 mm wide; perianth segments very broadly ovate or somewhat oblong in outline, squarish at apex, vivid yellow 12A, with whitish mucro, spreading or more or less inflexed, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, square-shouldered at base; corona split to base, the six segments half the length and one-third the width of the perianth segments and closely overlying them, orange-red 25A, ribbed, deeply and irregularly lobed or sometimes more obviously bi-lobed.
