Fls about 3 per stem, star-shaped, 30 mm wide, vivid yellow 9A, facing up or more nearly ascending; perianth segments oblong, blunt, spreading, plane, smooth and of heavy substance, separated or slightly overlapping; the inner segments more nearly ovate, with midrib showing; corona shallow bowl-shaped, smooth, with mouth wavy and rim entire.
