Fl. rounded, 104 mm wide; perianth segments broadly ovate, shouldered at base, rounded at apex, vivid yellow 9B, with slight white mucro, spreading, plane or slightly concave, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments more narrowly ovate, more nearly blunt, a little inflexed, with margins slightly wavy and with midrib showing; corona cylindrical, smooth, orange-red (30B), paling to orange at base, mouth straight, ribbed, frilled.
