Description

Fl. 98 mm wide, rounded; perianth and other petaloid segments in three whorls, broadly ovate, deep yellow, with inconspicuous white mucro, smooth, overlapping half or more; the outer whorl somewhat truncate, slightly reflexed, with midrib showing; the inner whorls successively shorter; the second whorl rounded at apex, somewhat inflexed, slightly concave; the centre whorl strongly inflexed, deeply concave, with margins wavy and incurled; corona segments interspersed among the petaloid segments, more than half as long as the outer whorl, and decreasing in length towards centre, inflexed, darker in tone, loosely frilled; the segments at centre strongly inflexed and tightly frilled.
