Fl. rounded, 95 mm wide; perianth segments roundish, very broad, truncate, vivid yellow 12A, with pale mucro, somewhat reflexed, plane below, concave above, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half or more; the inner segments narrower, ovate, blunt, less noticeably truncate and mucronate, more nearly spreading; corona cup-shaped, lightly ribbed, reddish orange (28A), mouth straight, wavy, with rim minutely crenate.
