Description |
Fl. forming a double triangle, 113 mm wide, facing up; perianth and other petaloid segments 44 mm long, in two whorls of six; the outer whorl very broadly ovate, blunt, mucronate, yellowish white 155D, reflexed, plane to a little concave, with margins wavy, smooth and of heavy substance, overlapping half; the inner segments narrower, shouldered at base, with midrib showing; the inner whorl yellowish white 155B, strongly inflexed, deeply concave, folded inwards from midrib; corona in several whorls; the outer whorl entire, 35 mm long, cylindrical, smooth, brilliant yellow 7A, with light greenish yellow 7D at base, mouth expanded, lightly ribbed, wavy, irregularly lobed, the lobes overlapping, with rim flanged and entire; the inner whorls split into segments two-thirds the length of the perianth and other petaloid segments, tightly clustered at centre, lighter in tone (7B/7C) than the outer whorl, folded and a little frilled.
